From Taking Things Apart in Cuba to Fixing Them in Colorado

Before Deivy ever touched an HVAC system, he was the kid in Cuba digging through scrap outside a neighborhood TV repair shop. He would pull out resistors and capacitors, take them home, and try to build something with them. Most did not survive his experiments, but the curiosity did.

That curiosity followed him through three years of electrical study, a move to the U.S. in 2014, and years working on airport and laboratory projects. Eventually, it led him into HVAC, where he earned his NATE and EPA 608 certifications and started Havana Solutions in 2022.

“There’s not a temporary fix for me.”

— Deivy, Owner

That is still how he works today: find the whole problem, explain what matters now and what can wait, and give homeowners the full picture before they decide.

Two technicians bringing a new furnace down to a basement on a hand truck
Technician walking up the front walk of a home with a tool bag and shoe covers
Two technicians cleaning up a living room after installing a ductless mini-split
Two technicians hanging a new duct trunk line between basement joists

Who Comes to Your Home

You May Get the Owner at Your Door

Havana Solutions is still small enough that Deivy works in the field and runs service calls himself. Depending on the schedule, you may see him or another member of the team, but you are not being handed off to a different company once the appointment is booked.

The same local team handles the diagnosis, the repair and the follow-up. If something needs a second look, you are coming back to the people who already know what was found the first time.

Six Promises Behind the Way We Work

What every job includes, and the reason behind each one.

  1. 01

We Explain It Before We Quote It

You get a clear account of what failed, what that part does, and what happens if it's left alone. The decision starts with you understanding the problem.

  2. 02

    The Choice Stays With You

Everything we find gets photographed, and you get the routes worth considering with the trade-offs attached. Repair or replace, the final call is yours, not ours.

  3. 03

We Service Boilers and Hydronic Systems

We work on boilers and hydronic air handlers alongside standard forced-air systems, so an older house or a condo doesn't get treated as though it has a furnace.

  4. 04

    Service in English or Spanish

Prefer Spanish? We'll explain the diagnosis, the options and the price in either language, so you can ask questions before you approve anything.

  5. 05

    No Single Brand to Push

We install across the major brands rather than pushing one manufacturer, so a replacement gets matched to your house, your budget and the equipment you'd rather have.

  6. 06

    Written Price Before Work Starts

You see the repair price in writing before anything starts. Our labor rate holds steady from job to job, and it's the parts that move the number up or down.

Certified, Registered, Insured

What each credential means before someone works on your home.

Certifications are easy to list and harder to explain. Here's what each of ours is, and what it covers for you.

EPA 608 Certified

Refrigerant handling certification

EPA 608 is the federal certification for technicians who work with regulated refrigerants in AC and heat pump systems.

Why it matters:

Technicians who service regulated refrigerant circuits need EPA 608 certification. It gives you a verifiable qualification for the refrigerant work involved in AC and heat pump service.

NATE Certified

Independent HVAC knowledge testing

NATE certification is earned through independent HVAC exams rather than awarded by the company itself.

Why it matters:

The person diagnosing your system has been tested by an outside body, not handed the title in-house.

Xcel Energy Registered Contractor

Registration for qualifying heat pump rebates

Havana Solutions is registered with Xcel Energy for qualifying cold-climate heat pump rebate work.

Why it matters:

For qualifying projects, our team submits the contractor documentation. The homeowner completes their portion, Xcel inspects the work, and the rebate follows the program's approval process.

Insured

Protection while work is underway

Havana Solutions carries insurance for the work it performs.

Why it matters:

Business insurance adds a layer of protection if accidental property damage happens while work is being completed in your home.

Such a fantastic experience. My heat went out right before the Arctic front came and he made sure to come and install my furnace before we were without heat in negative temperatures. Very professional, great installation, clean work. Very knowledgeable and explained everything along the way…

Great experience!. The technician came to my home fast because my furnace wasn’t working and my house was getting cold. The technician said there was a problem with a limit switch that went bad. I didn’t understand what he meant because I have no idea about furnaces…

What People Ask Before They Book

A few questions about the company rather than the equipment.

Anything not covered here, ask on the call.

Havana Solutions (720) 659-2059
01What does it cost to have someone come out?

The service visit is $70, and that fee is credited toward the repair if you approve the work.

02What is the hourly labor rate?

Labor is charged at the same rate on every job, so the parts are what move a repair bill. That is why a price over the phone is a range, and the firm number comes after the diagnosis.

03Do you offer financing?

Yes. Financing is available through FTL Finance. We prepare the proposal, and the customer completes the financing application directly through the platform.

04What does the maintenance plan include?

The monthly plan includes no truck fee, select covered small parts such as capacitors, pressure switches and limit switches, a 10% discount, and priority scheduling.

05Can you help with Xcel heat pump rebate paperwork?

Yes. We submit the contractor documentation for qualifying Xcel heat pump rebates. The homeowner completes their portion, and Xcel handles inspection and approval.
